my skoda felicia exhaust is glowing red help me please

I haven't seen mine glowing but mines getting noisy prob because theres a hole in there somewhere.

If the down pipe is the bit that is glowing, the cat will probably be blocked, or the exhaust hes been crushed somewhere

:iagree: either that or the ignition timing is massively out

the only thing i can hink of is youre throwing out masive ammount of unburned fuel and is ignitting in the manifold or just before it, guess the air that comes out of the muffler is also very hot... what part of the exahust is it thats rinning red?, Do you have a carburator model or a mpi? are you getting decent gas mileage? is the engine also running hot (over 90 degrees c)? anything else you can tell us ?
