Driven Mad By Creaky Seat

Oh, and whilst I am really grateful to you for helping me locate the squeaky seat problem, I will warn you that once one creak, squeak, bump or tinkle has been located and expunged, ANOTHER one seems to start up!:( Was it there all along, drowned out by the first noise, or was it just biding it's time until it could be heard and then start up?

I've got one that I still can't track down.

It seems to be coming from round about the rear, offside passenger's seatbelt mount and is like a little 'patter' or plasticy tapping.

Two different passengers sat in said area pressing various bits of trim, but with no success.

I may have to resort to being a passenger in my own car *shudders* to finally locate the problem as it is almost as annoying as the creak.

Eureka! I've found a cure. So much for morning light. All hail The Torch and a can of Creak-B-Gone (generic PTFE-enhanced lube spray). Ably assisted by my better-half's shell-like, I traced the cr

Evidently I am not THAT good as I missed this one...

Have you got a stenchy cabin?

Yes, and it aint wind!

I reckon it's our lovely wet summer, and high A/C use, coupled with being a fisherman, and having a bag full of wet football gear in the boot constantly.

BUT!

Now I have squirted 'creak B gone' under the seat, the car now smells of that instead!

YUMMY!

CARL (Cracked A Rib Laughing (the new LOL)). :D

The sweet pheromonal aroma of Creak-B-Gone has come literally as a breath of fresh air to your cabin.

Previously, only a not-yet-invented product like Fishy-Sweaty-Musty-Cabin-Stench-B-Gone could have made the inside of your car a life-friendly environment.

Man, did you ever strike it doubly lucky... no foul stench or maddeningly creaky seat.

Hallelujah!

I have already printed new labels for the cans, with 'Creak B gone' on one side and 'Fishy-Sweaty-Musty-Cabin-Stench-B-Gone' on the other - its a proper multi-function miracle gumption.

But in all seriousness, please DO NOT use the AC on recirc with two wet, slimy nets in the back - it all condenses inside the system, only to remind you of the 35lbs of Bream you had on the stick on peg 31 at Binton on the Avon next time you use it.

YUMMY.

Not.

PS, my fishing skills are even better than my welding cababilities!

Thanks for the tip.

And just as well, too.

Mr Wobblytickle was a one off that's for sure...

It does need reapplying from time to time, more so if the seat gets moved a lot.

HTH

Thanks!

I had a clunketty-bunk on bumps from passenger side. It turned out to be the droplinks/anti roll bar bushes. Both cheap DIY jobs.
