anybody know how to do this as my selector is starting to get stiff, have done a search but just found lots of people with similar conditions and recomendations to get it adjusted.

Is this something that can be DIY'd or is it a garage jobby?

If it generally feels stiff then its more than likely sezing up on the pivot on the top of the box. You need two new sleeves and a good clean up.
