Right I got off my fat lazy a$$ and found the SUK site, I see for the CR engine it's 8.4 seconds. But what about the PD variety and does anyone beg too differ regarding the official figures.

With out having access to some accurate measuring equipment, it must be hard to get an accurate time.

Sitting in the car with a stop watch is next to useless.

Depends on so many factors. Tyres, weather, load, engine condition and of course the person behind the wheel!

Probaby thats why the lack of response to your question. We probably just accept the Skoda figures.

Autocar quotes 8.5sec for the PD version....

Probably about 14sec with my fat **** in it!

You apparantly have no sense of humour and lack the ablilty to move your eyes left and see that I've been hanging round this ****hole forum for the last two and a half years and therefore wasn't expecting an immediate answer, I was having a laugh. Quite what this has too do with you not wanting too nugde your missus after a long shift, I do not know.

Or

You yourself are just pulling my leg

I'm honestly unsure ........are you serious ????

You just trying to work out if you can change and still go as fast

As a matter of interest, what is the 0 - 60 on the Mk1?

Although I always consider the 30-70 performance to be a bigger consideration.
