The title is self explanatory i guess, roof rails are a £115 option, can they be dealer fitted to cars that dont have them?

Anything is possible, but I wouldn't want to remove the headlining, drill the bodywork etc. If your going to need them at somepoint I would say that the £115 option is a lot less hassle in the long run

Get a Scout, they come standard!

If i was buying new of course i would add the option, but just wanted to know if i was buying a used one thats all.

Looking at pictures i dont think i like the Scout, local dealers dont have one though so cant judge in the flesh. But dont think ill like it, not really a fan of the 'rugged' look when they do that to cars.

Dont suppose if youre ever over Swansea way i could have a gander at your Scout could i Decron? Had a look at a regular roomy in the dealers last week and i really liked it, just would like to see a scout.

I once told a customer that I would fit roof rails to an ex-demo Roomster not realising just how many hours of labour it took to fit them, I'm never doing that again! The bill was ridiculous.

Yeah figured as much, wouldnt be an essential as i could just put bikes in the back (the mud! the mud!!!) or i could just get a bike carrier for the back.

Can be done, for about £250inc roofbars,

Make it part of the deal, that you want roofbars fitted.

Get them fitted at the factory. As Decron says, we were told to fit aftermarket needed holes drilling. Not a big fan of that. If you want to carry bikes, for less money than the Skoda internal rack or roof bars you can fit a tow bar & a removable cycle rack like a Towsure Cyclemaster. Works great without getting mud on the carpet.

Cheers for the help guys, but going with a new Fabia3 Estate, they have them as standard. chose the Fab as it will hold its value better and the missus preferred the more 'normal' looks of the Furby.
