Maxidot - Any Benefits

Featured Replies

I know that the Maxidot gives you analog Temp & Fuel gages over standard but what else do you get? Is it worth it? On Octy II's lots is customisable through MD, but it seems that with the Roomster it is similar to the Fabia I & II in not having Can-Bus so not much can be done. What are the benefits apart from the guages and a slightly better looking dashpod?

Honestly? Not a lot. It does look better and there is a partial data feed for the audio but thats about it.

Is it possible to fit maxidot dashpod to a Roomster whitout maxidot? :)

Easy install?

At least I think that the onboard computer is more advanced. With the maxidot you get dual memories (one that resets if the car is turned off for more than 2 hours) for things like average speed, average consumption, distance driven, time driven etc. You can also ge tcurrent info about things like oil temperature, driving speed (which is even more off than the speedo) etc.

Sure, you can survive without all these, but at least I find it nice to have.

You also get those on the ordinary trip computer.

Ok, I've never driven a Skoda that did not have MaxiDot, so I did not know that. Thanks for the info.
