HP Sporting Coilovers

Featured Replies

Are a selection of springs available for the HP Sporting coilovers?

I'm pretty disappointed with how soft the handling is and how high the car sits even on the lowest setting. My other Favorit on cut springs with standard shocks handles far better!

It seems like I can't fit any other springs either (eg standard coilover springs) because of the spring retainer being part of the spring itself, let alone the fact the springs are a massive diameter.

They're a very odd design, nothing like 99% of coilovers I've come across!

they do sit high at the front, this is because they are designed for rally style racing, were the car may well need to get over bigish objects.

have you fitted the 22mm anti roll bar yet???

I don't want an anti-roll bar, I just want stiffer springs! :D

My other Favorit has great balance with no ARB, if I put one on the front I'll only have to sort something out for the back anyway.

Got to admit back in the day when we used to race Fiat 127 gt's we took the arb off for track use. Fwd soft front susp. hard rear stiff rear. RWD soft rear, hard stiff front  soft front means you don't lift the inside front wheel and loose acceleration with one wheel just spinning in the air. :D But thats a track set up, on the road is probably a bit different especially if you have a LSD.
