Retrofiting Cruise Contol Advice

Featured Replies

I'm part way through retrofitting cruise control to my 1.9TDi Octavia I Ambient and could do with a bit of advice in two areas.

1. Can anyone tell me which sub-menu (controller) on the VAG-COM the option to turn on the CCS is located. I've had a quick look and can't find it.

2. Can anyone offer any advice on removing and inserting wiring (crimps) into the back of the main fuse panel: the instruction say to use a specialist VAG tool that I can't get hold of.

Many thanks for any help:)

There is a guide to fitting it on a Fabia on VRStu's site at Fabia-vrs.com - Cruise Control Retrofit Guide

I don't know whether any of the information on there may be relevant to the Octy, but maybe worth a look.

Sorted the wiring problem (just spliced them, not as pretty but does the job), but still have not yet tried again to enable the CCS using VAG COM. The fabia-vrs.com web site talks about a login code '11463' that is need to enable the cuise control. Can anyone confirm what the login code is for an Octavia I 1.9tdi ambient? is the same code?

Cheers,

Jono
