Filled up my car at 99.9

£38 to fill the tank with 38l compared to about £40-42

Shell near my work was 97.9 for Petrol, 109.9 for diesel.

A price difference like that is close to making our 1.6 petrol Focus cheaper to run than the Fabia vRS :(

I heard on the radio some places have lopped extra off the sub £1 per litre (on petrol) hasnt brought Diesel down to below £1p/l though.

It's quite simple, IMHO, you burn less derv so they want to charge more per L to keep their profits up ;)

Texaco on way to work has petrol at 97.9 and diesel at 103.9 !!!

Sit in a confined space with Diesel and it will take you 3 days to go to sleep. Also if you fill up with diesel and smoke...No probs. Try do that with Petrol. Please don`t. The amount of cars that set on fire when i was a child with my Dad in the 70`s, well...I should have been a Fireman.

B.O.T......£1.11 a litre today.

read in the paper this morning (mail) that fuel duty will go up in the next budget due to the huge deficiet (however its spelt) due to all the spending brown is doing. transport think tanks and people from various transport groups have been called along and their views have been ignored.

Round here mostly 97.9 for UL

Tesco was 102.9 for 99

Local Esso was 95.9 for UL.

  • 4 weeks later...

$1.135 for UL at our local. About 50p

And forecast to be a cool 26C tomorrow

How I miss the UK;)

Probably watered down with meths

i saw petrol for 91.9 up in Aberdeen this weekend, but diesel was still 106.9

im suprised in the last week or two that none of the supermarkets have done a pr exercise and done the next round of price cuts... maybe soon as ive worked out we due one by the first week of december

Another 2p of petrol at the local Supermarket and nothing off the derv.

Now 16ppl difference

keep it coming, i reckon diesel should go up 30p so us non smoggy vehicles can pay 60p a litre instead

95RON is 91.9-92.9 round Dundee.

super is about 99.9-102.9.

Not sure about diesel, well over a pound anyway 106 I think.

I think all forms of unleaded petrol should be banned as they all contain MTBE which is a known carcinogen. ;)

Nice to see we replaced lead, which may cause health issues at that level with MTBE which is a carcinogen and very easily gets into water courses.

Although this was a problem in the States where they used around 15% per volume. The UK uses a fraction of that (under 1% IIRC).

Interestingly, diesel fumes have been linked with lung cancer.

So in short, everything causes cancer and we're all going to die so we might as well enjoy our time before we do. Being forced to suffer a diesel will not achieve that ;)

Chris

Asda have announced a a drop in UL prices to 90.9p, 105.9p for derv.

OT - Mustard, apples, toast, tea, computers and bbq meat all contain known carcinogens. Oxygen damages dna, pesticides used by farmers make good nerve gas, the bricks in your house can give out radioactive radon gas (especially if you're aberdonian), almonds contain cyanide.....

You've got to die of something.

Lets look at what else is in the waterways, prescribed and illegal drugs, metals, poisons, basically anything and everything that passes through you or that gets flushed down the toilet. Still we got GM crops and the chance of being hit by a bus to take in to all the things that could damage your health (list not exhaustive) ;)

Sainsburys dropped 2p to 92.9p today, local shell still at 95.9 and tesco's at 94.9

FWIW I was more pointing out how a lot of what is said in the name of the environment is cr*p, eg lead in 4 star *may* harm you but it's replacement *will* harm you. So rather than anything to do with derv, I was almost saying bring back 2, 3 and 4 star petrol ;)

FWIW toast causes cancer and breathing will eventually kill you.

so if my local asda does that it's 1p off derv and 4p off unleaded.:mad:
