Whaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Featured Replies

My vRS was last serviced 19/06/06 ......How Did I not notice that when I was thumbing through before buying!

It's now in for a service.. it's not done even 10k since the above date and haven't got any lights on the dash...

This is ok then, yeah? I mean.. 2 years is pushing it ALLOT... but it's OK when it's not even done 5k a year?..lol, Comfort me damn it! ;)

Rob!

Rob - Mine was like that as well, might be a idea to check with the dealer or Skoda in case the service book has not been stamped, I had found out mine was like that as well but checked with the garage and they confirmed it had been serviced and stamped the book.

Hope this helps

That's a good idea!.. from what the previous owner was saying though "It Needs a service really soon".. I dunno if it will have done... (he was suitably knocked down price wise on this though).... Cheers Skodaboy

No worries glad to help, knowing from experiance now thought it would help.

If I had not gone through all the bills for the car I would have missed that the book had not been stamped.

IIRC the fabia is 10k/1 year, so that is well overdue if not done.

Oil degrades over time and to be fair i think i'd probably ask a garage to flush it through with forte oil flush before they do the oil and filter change.

Don't panic, it may have been done but not recorded (especially if done DIY). There was a missing section in records for SWMBO's SDI so we gave full service and had cam belt changed. When collecting car, garage said old belt was 'new'.

Probably worth doing everything, including change brake fluid as it sounds as though it has not had a lot of use. Then enjoy the next 10K.
