Hand-Brake Turns!!!

Featured Replies

The other trick to look into is converting the HB to a "fly-off" design. IIRC you basically need to reverse the pawl so that pressing the button locks it on rather than releasing it.

There's 6 acres of grass around my parents house and a nice 90 degree bend on the gravel driveway. I had great fun when I was younger. First with a pasquali tractor, then a honda 50, finally upgraded to a Mk2 golf :)

It had snowed and then iced up in a car-park so I got out... checked for kirbs that I couldn't see and any other obstacles and then off I went... was rather fun... If a bit chavvy! lol

i always when it snows find a deserted car park to check my car control so it will remind me how the car will act and re act.

The Favorits handbrake locks the wheels!!!

hehehehe wont be doing that with my almost new Fuldas on the back though!!!

Fabia's have a terrible design flaw, if you pull the handbrake up too far the plastic cover for the handbrake comes out of the hole and gets stuck, A simple drift usualy turns into a 180 degree turn in this case ;)

Another fun thing to do when i was in the fields was to see how close i could park to a tree or fence post. Pull the handbrake on hard turn the steering to full lock rev the engine and dump the clutch, front wheels spin like mad on the mud and pull the car round and with the back wheels not moving the car can turn 90 degrees almost within its own length. Haven't tried it to get out of a parking space yet but......:D:D

using the handbrake is cheating... left foot hard on the brake as your turning sharply FTW...
