My New Car! (inc pics!)

Featured Replies

Well... I've been thinking of making the Skod into a nutter weekend car for some time but trying to find something nice to replace it with as a daily driver has been hard... until now! After months of looking i've finally found and bought this:

I'm so chuffed i've been looking for one of these for aaaages!

Yes it's a BMW so YES I now have the god given right to drive like a **** up the outside lane of the M40 at 100mph flashing people to get out my way :D

It's a 740i - absolutely beautiful condition - last of the nice shaped models, one owner, fantastic 4.4l V8 with 'auto box. Oh and specially installed pimp tints for that exclusive look :)

It's got electric everything. The seats, get this, are 18 way adjustable! It's so lazy even the headrest is raised and lowered electronically!

It's got a full BMW service history with every bill + receipt everthing spent on it (including the servicing bills - gulp!)

To say i'm pleased with it is an understatement :D So the Octy is staying and being turned into a weekend toy, the BM is now the motorway mile muncher and the Mustang is now officially up for sale!! (any offers?)

I can see from your pics you have a big drive but it doesn't mean you have to fill every space.

Have you been practicing doughnuts.

PS Nice car!!

Nice car , but I don't fancy your fuel bills.

Very nice Dave. Think Des may have a point about the donuts with those tyre marks on the deck!

nice car!

looks like you got a good 'un.

really like those 7's.

Those late 7 series always turn my head, very nice. And I really don't think the usual Beemer comments apply.

It looks lowered?

That car has presence and is much nicer-looking than the latest series. :)

Thanks for the comments guys + no Jason :D I would however take 7 or 8k for it - even though it's worth over 10k...

Think it might have the sports pack? Not sure TBH.

Errrrrrm I have to admit that the reason I took it onto that section of my private driveway was to 'experience' all 4.4l with no traction control and the steering wheel turned (if you get my drift ;) ). Being so heavy once it goes it really goes!

I have just discovered the cooooolest thing I have ever seen! When it's dark - the car knows this and sorts all the lights out for you - but the best bit is that as you unlock the car, not only do the interior lights gracefully fade to on, but the door handles actually have lights under them which come on too! I'll have to work out how to take a picture in the dark!

really nice car. looks like youve got a good one, top cars.

I tell you what - if I had more money to burn I'd be tempted by the Mustang! :D One day, sometime in the future, I WILL have an American muscle car...

Hope you enjoy your new car Grandad ;) ............Sorry Dave , but I'm going to have to disagree with the majority on this one , just don't like them ......OK for funerals and weddings ....and possibly motorway miles .

My brother has just bought a 745i .....and yes I told him the same :D

Jonno - you need to first host piccies online somewhere like I do,

The put the URL to that piccie like this:
