Has anyone seen this article on the AutoExpress website:

Fabia?s low, go, go! | Auto Express News | News | Auto Express

It says that we're going to get a new Fabia vRS hot hatch next year with diesel power!

Anyone know where they've got this information?

how can they label a 70bhp 1.2 litre car "sport" ??

They did the old Fabia HTP in a sport spec too... it isn't just a bout the engine size/power... its about it looking the part!

I read this a couple days ago.. makes me think a vRS might be closer than we think as why would they bother developing lower suspension just for a UK special?..

I think it's just some of the vRS development coming out early ;-)

so that article is actually saying the new vRS will be diesel, that will be interesting,

That article is also by Auto Express, so its as good as lies!

:repost: by the way.

And another fiver to Decron.

The old Skoda Favorits were all 1.3 litre, but came in low and high compression varieties with 54bhp and 67bhp respectively. The GLXI (54bhp) and GLXIe (67) models came with a rear spoiler and 13" alloys. The spoiler is obviously just decorative and has little to no effect on driving performance. It's just one of the things car manufacturers do to try sell more cars, and it will no doubt appeal to people who want a sporty look without a big engine and insurance cost etc.

Spit roasts ???????;):D:D
