Not so sure about that :) Yes, the models you are thinking about are not glowing techno marvels (etz250 etc) but in the early 60's MZ were one of the most successfull brands in racing. In fact if Ernst Degner had not defected on the IOM TT iirc and legged it to the west and joined Suzuki, the Japanese may not have had such an impact on 2 stroke racing :)

MZ Bagheera Black Panthers are a pretty robust, if not a little heavy, good entry into the world of Supermoto (ok, Gay name ......)

I refuse to comment mate :D ok, I had a Baghira Black Panther as a commuter hack a few years ago for commuting into Manchester to save wear and tear on my Mille at the time.
