Heated seats are a godsend if you're stuck waiting for your car to heat up before you can drive off. When it is -10C or something it definitely adds to the comfort

Be careful. I suspect localised heating of using this hand-held defroster may have contributed to a cracked windcreen.

Why manufacturers don't build them into the vents, is beyond me. Using the hand-held device I have it takes less than 5 mins to clear the screen and front side windows. Its quicker than a heated screen ! With a slightly larger battery amp-hourage and a timer, the car would be ready to go at your appointed departure time.
