My vRs is less than a month old and for the first time I thought I'd follow the football on five live.

I've tried for a few days now in various locations but if I do a scan on AM/LW it just rotates round and finds no stations at all, ever!

I believe Five Live is on 606 & 909 but even on manual nothing happens.

Is there an issue? (Stream)

Mine works OK on AM (2008MY).

MW reception varies wildly across the country. Try manually tuning the HU rather than scanning. If you get nothing you have a faulty antenna base.

It's a real pain because my last cars HU (Corrado with an after market HU) didn't work with AM either! I think I'm destined to never listen to it!

I'm just glad I only use it for footy!

you could try taking the stereo out and making sure all connections are pushed in properly, did this on mine and made a huge difference.

CAn you press and hold the "info" button and see if it comes up with "ant on" - as my guess is the signal booster built in to the aerial base may have had it.

Got back in the car this aft and a scan brought up all of the AM stations! Clear as a bell!

Tried it Keighley, Bradford and Leeds. Today I'm in Leeds again and everythings perfect??????

Really odd!

Oddly my stream unit fitted to my 06 octy VRS used to pick up AM stations, no problem. About three months ago, 5Live became impossible to hear clearly.

Still, Leeds United are rarely on 5Live, since our spectacular fall from grace.
