Hurrah For Felly Bumpers! (slightly pointless, sorry)

Featured Replies

So, I reverse into a lamp post.

Now, had I done this (OK, actually I did once) in Mr Otter's car I'd be looking at a hundred-odd squid repair bill (or an awful lot of gaffer tape, which always looks good).

Instead I have a bit of a graze on me bumper, which I guess I could colour in with a marker pen if I really wanted to, or have a go at with one of these:

Royal 4 Step Nail Buffer

So - hurrah for proper rear bumpers!

I thought they were all painted/colour coded on the felicia?

I just have black plastic each end. Mine has had a meeting with a wall with a previous owner (honestly it wasn't me :D) the scrapes are visibile if you look closely, but if it was painted red or whatever it would look horrible. (I admit to reversing into one of those things they put around lamp posts to protect them in car parks not long after I passed my test, I couldn't see the thing - but it left no mark anyway.)

Nope! My P-reg Felicia has black plastic at each end. Unlike Mr Otters' Mondeo which has colour-coded eggshells instead!

Agreed, black plastic all the way - my Mrs is Spanish and so bumpers are used as parking guides. I have given up on cosmetics, just doctor any rust, but the bumpers still look Ok from a few feet away. I have also given up replacing rear light clusters, which are a now a fetching mosaic style covered in Greenhouse repair tape (much nicer than those common Lexus one, nice and classy....).

Loving that description!
