Door seals are they under warranty

Featured Replies

my Fabia vrs on a 05 plate, has had this problem where condensation seems to appear on the rear windows.

I've owned the car 4-5 months and bought it from an approved Skoda dealership.

If they are to be repaired due to having a bad seal, is this likely to be done under warranty. I have booked the car in but they told me until they look at it they can't give an answer. which is fair enough I understand that but is leaky doors a warranty item?

I just got my rear door seals done under warranty, so yeah I guess they are :)

I have an 06, since new, and its going in in a couple of weeks to get the door seals done under warranty. Why on earth do they "need to look at it" its not exactly an unknown issue, just protecting themselves I guess.

I was really surprised when the service guy acknowledged the issue with me giving vague clues to the problem (expecting the "never heard of that before" routine).

RBW.

got my '04 seals done last year under warranty but think there ging again on the rear they gave me the "ohh how odd routine havent heard of that befor" then i talked to the macanic and he said they go al the time why do they have to lie to us

I bought a my car this time last year, the car was at the time was 3 months short of it 3rd birthday so I got a 12 month used warranty. Got my door cards fixed with skoda paying 80% of the cost as a good will gesture with me paying the rest ( £40 ).

Mine were all done under warranty, but the rear ones are leaking again.....not under warranty now so Skoda won't give a stuff, they should repair them for free seing how they were supposed to have fixed them and told me that was the end of the leaks....

It's cheaper!

Deal with each owner/car as it's presented, Rather than doing a full recall

Because they are Lying bar stewards ! I say we should put them on the rollers at 20mph and make em sweat till they actually acknowledge this is problem for everyone ! :D

Just had mine supposedly repaired by them but one door is still leaking got usual "oh is it ?" dumb question and "think you'd best bring it in for us to look at" (In 2 weeks might I add) DM Keith Monopoly dealership West Yorkshire dont touch them with a ten foot barge pole IMHO !

Just a little 'heads up'...

Lots of the dealers actually check this forum :o

And its not actualy door seals that leak.

It's the ancilleries carrier.

I get quite a bit of condensation front and rear. How much does it cost to get the door seals replaced?
