Featured Replies

Been searching for a while for one ,to no avail, and just wondered if a golf mk 4 front brace will fit as there are quite a few on e bay at very reasonable cost .

thanks in advance:thumbup:

That's what I have. The top is for show but the bottom tightens things up nicely and as stated they are cheap at about £90 for both

Audi S3 upper and lower strut braces.

The lower brace just bolts in place - the holes are already there.

The upper brace requires drilling the strut tops.

Part numbers from a main Audi dealer are:

Upper strut brace 8L9 805 629 A

Lower brace 8N0 199 403 B

Bolts for lower brace N 104 679 01

Captive nuts N 909 147 01

Nice pictures Rob,

I have fitted the lower one, plucking up courage to drill holes in the car for the upper one.

Just thought i'd jump in on this thread. I'm thinking of getting a lower brace. (can't be bothered with the top one as by all accounts it's for show rather than anything else?). Seen it on vagparts.com part number 8n0strutbar. Can anybody tell me if this is everything I need?

I had rung the audi dealer but they wanted £25 + vat and then the bolts were extra.

has anyone got a picture of a lower strut brace fitted.
