This is it - with the sport bumper you get a nice white surround for the plate to sit on, which is usually black on the normal bumpers, even the vRS one.... So I was wondering if the chrome stood out more for this reason. I dunno and will make my mind up at some point....

Not sure about painting the grille. Put it this way, if you're doing the interior in white leather, do the grille and call it "the Igloo!".

Go for the Rallye sport option and paint it RED!!!

A few stripes down the flanks and a set of superturismos and it'll look tops!

If you're keeping the side strips etc. then I'd say doing it black would work. I'm still unsure on colour coding the chrome grill to the body. It looks odd with the extra lines it makes on the front. But if you do it white and don't like it I'll buy it off ya

Well, the car is meant to be "restored" - but leaving the sport front & rear bumpers as are. I'm probably going to leave it chromey now to keep it looking pretty stock. I can always re-assess the matter once the front bumper is repaired and resprayed.
