vRS Servicing Cost Survey

Featured Replies

Wonder if I could get a bit of help from all the MKII vRS drivers?

Im doing a Survey on current Skoda main dealer servicing costs.

Could you simply list the price, TFSi, TDi PD or TDi CR, which service (i.e. first service, major etc) and which Skoda Dealer you had the service carried out at

Edit: forgot to add, roughly when you paid the price for the service listed

Thanks

thanks so far

I've just been quoted £180 (inc VAT) as a first variable service on a vRS TDi Octavia at Mitchells Skoda in Wirral. That includes picking up the car if required (I live 18 miles from their new location - they used to be about 1.5 miles from me) :)

Dave.

And I have just been quoted £140 (inc vat) for the first variable on a PD TDi and 190(inc vat) for the second variable.

I am quite happy at those prices after paying £250 for my freelander from an independant!!

Steve

Just booked my PD vRS is for its first variable service, and have been quoted £185 (at Simpsons, Preston).

I asked what they change, and it is basically just the oil and filter. I am also going to get the polllen filter and the air filter changed. Apparently the service interval for the air filter is now 60,000 miles which sounds a bit excessive to me.

They also said they my car was applicable for the 26E6 engine management software update, and they will also replace the DPF sensor as well.

I had to have the sensor replaced already under warranty, but they said that they would change it again as it was part of the recall!

Now had its first variable service. In the end it cost £200 including a new air filter and a pollen filter.

Also had the 26e6 engine management update and sensor.

Simpsons also replaced the alloy wheel centre caps under warranty (they were starting to corrode) and adjusted my headlamps.

They washed and hoovered the car, and I got a courtesy car for the day.

Not the cheapest (compared to Ford and the like), but good service from Simpsons of Preston. :)

I know mines out of warrenty, but my service costs £70 inc vat hahaha.

Joys of doing it yourself, plus keeps you out of the way for a wee while!

Mk2 vrs petrol - 2nd variable service (approx 32k miles). Just been quoted:

Clist & Rattle (Bristol) - £279

Carrs (Bridgwater) - £241

Platinum (Bath) - £350 (wtf!?)

Shame really, since I bought the car at platinum but they're taking the mick with prices like that.

1st variable (16,500 miles) on a vRS TDi £186 yesterday at Mitchell Skoda Cheshire Oaks. The car was returned to me washed and I spent the time it took to be serviced in their comfortable lounge browsing the Internet and drinking nice coffee :) I could have had the car picked up and returned free of charge but wanted to do some shopping nearby afterwards.

2.0 TFSi - 1st variable (11,218 miles :thumbdwn:) Ashmore Green, Newbury.

£201.99 on 11/12/2007.

Oh, and whilst it may not be the cheapest, I did get a courtesy car for the day (in fact picked it up the evening before) - a 1.9 diesel Octavia estate, which is a cut above the usual pokey courtesy cars some places use. :)

Sorry for being so far behind - only just dug the paperwork out. Due another service very shortly, so I'll no doubt have an update in a couple of weeks.

2.0 fsi sport £250 ish for first 20k variable service at the skoda dealer in newbury.

3 Years free servicing :)

'56 2.0TFSI on fixed servicing.

You can save yourself some money if you buy and supply your own oil.

£140 inc brake fluid with me supplying the engine oil and brake fluid.

(That's Hampshire and 3rd variable.)

2.0 TFSi - 2nd variable (23,074 miles) Ashmore Green, Newbury.

£257.19 today.

Oil was £73.60 (5 x £12.80/litre +VAT) of that.

On the plus side, they did come and collect my car from work and bring it back afterwards (about 18 miles each way), nicely washed and hoovered.

Second oil/filter change at 15K (first was free at 5K) £90 at Progress Bedford...well chuffed:rofl:

That was for 2.0TFSI.....
