'Ow do!

Featured Replies

A year of lurking and I've finally joined up. So hi all!

I'm running around in a 51 reg Octavia 1.8T Estate in dark green with a really tasteful yellow interior. No modifications other than a new radio. Looking at doing some gentle modification some time soon but I'm more of a Q-car lover than a neons and big-bore kind of a guy. Besides, this is my sensible car - insane plans are left for my little Toyota.

Oh, and for reasons I *really* don't understand, DVLA are convinced that the tank is a 4x4. Answers on a postcard to...

than a neons and big-bore

Welcome along buddy.

Ive only ever seen 1 Skoda on this site with neons as of yet.

Not many "rice" Skoda's on here at all.

Nice and subtly modded ones, sure you'll find some insperation on here.

Enjoy the stay!

Welcome :)

Hello! :wave23d:

Hi,

What is this little Toyota all about then?

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda :D

welcome

Hiya.

Are you sure it's not a 4x4? The facelift 1.8T 150 estate spec makes it possible for it to have a Haldex part-time automatic 4x4 system.

KenONeill - really? Okay... it's possible then. I'll get underneath her and take a look tonight. By facelift do you mean a lift in the pre'04 models, or the 04-05 revision? Because my tank is a 51 plate.

Allams Skoda - the little Toyota is an old(!) Y reg Corolla SR 3 door (ten years old?) which I love. Slower than the Octavia in a drag but so low and stiff that she'll stick to my brother's Leon FR on the right back lanes. The long range plans involve lifting her from the depressing bhp she currently has to the heady heights of >230bhp supercharged. She needs some other work first so it may wait until I get my hands on the identical one my grandfather is currently running...

Facelift is a change in the mk1 aka A4 models. The most obvious sign of it is clear headlight glasses, the introduction of the vRS, and other model designation badges on front wings of Classic, Ambiante, Elegance and Lauren & Klemens.

Knowing if you have a 4x4 is important, because the Haldex mechanism requires its oil changing something like every other year.

Sounds like a nice little fun Toyota you've got there!

If you PM/send me your reg number I can find out easily if it is a 4x4 model or not.
