2.5 V6 diesel owners....

Featured Replies

Any opinions?

Anyone remapped them yet (I see deebo was thinking about it)?

What sort of MPG are you getting in town \ on Mway?

Are there 3 seatbelts in the back?

I know I "may as well go the for PD130" but I get 16p a mile for over 2.0, and just fancy something other than a 4cyl...

Ta in advance...

and they are less gay as have more than 4 cyl and not 4wd.

Obviously, you want the V6.

Proper engines are V-shaped, innit?

(of course I might not be looking at the superb... as you can get that engine with 4wd in an A6 ;))

is that for the full bored homosexula outlook on life... a6+4x4+diesel in grey with grey trim, grey carpets, grey rooflining, grey socks, grey skin after you slash your wrists at the tedium....

im soooo looking forward to my smokey 75.... :D

I can see plenty of references to Mileage Allowances in there (when I eventually got to the text via Notepad), but nothing related to Car Allowances.

Step 1 Total business miles travelled 10,000

Step 2 First 10,000 business miles at 0.40 p.a. mile

ColinD... Spot on.

Being an accountant (spit) I get a lot of these questions... Your example is the right one.

But...

Unless things have changed, you only get to claim the tax on the difference, and normally the IR simply adjust your tax code.

So the company allowance is the paid pence per mile, not the "car allowance"...

ahhh..

and

oooh....

and "gimme the money!!" :D

Thanks guys!

(opinions on v6 still welcome :D)

All Superbs have 3 x rear 3 point seat belts and headrests.

Hi,

I do about 35k a year in a 2.5TDI Comfort, I get 40-45MPG on average, just had the second service at 46,000 this cost 300 quid, the first service cost 250.

Quite a lot more expensive than my 51 Octavia vRS.

On the tax front, if you allowance is included in you paycheck, and taxed, there is no need to include it within your return. All you need to include is any millage/fuel paid by the company.

Cheers
