I have voted drool... but I think it depends how big they are and just how they will look on your car!

Phil

Yup, they work for me..

Lovelier than the lovely Imelda and her lovely bottom, winner of the 1996 Craggy Island Lovely Girl competition. Regularly see a set very much like these on a black E46, v. nice.

Mm, Photoshop time. 17"x7, 40 offset so should fit nicely

I like them apart from the red line - but as you have a red car (I think) they will go well.

I love black/anthracite wheels.

Black wheels on a red car always look good, get em!

You ARE having a mid-life crisis, but you have good taste too:D

Go for it Rob.

They'd suit the Octy very well indeed. :)

They'd look awesome on a red Octy Mk1 or a Fabia in red. :)

What are they? I like them, but I'd prefer more spokes....

Come on now rob you have been looking at new wheels for the Octy for ages now.

Bite the bullet and get them bought :D

Nice, but you'll kick yourself as soon as you get near a kerb.

Have seen these on a silver Celica GT4 and a white MR2 - they suited both. I think they would go very well on your red Octy Rob!:thumbup::thumbup:

Them wheels are a top choice for your car, just do it man!

I like the red line. I have seen similar themes on other cars and as long as it's simple and understated, like those are, it's drool rather than fool. :)

They'd look great on a red car. Do it!

they work for me - go for it!

Very nice

9-spoke - oh dear.

Interesting looking and I quite like the red line, but I keep thinking 6th gen Honda Civic - you need to get them on the car and get that image out of my head :)

9-spoke - oh dear.

o noes.

Its not going to be like 4 exhaust pipes again is it? I thought that 3 spokes was the main crime against wheels.

Anything that isn't a natural multiple of the number of fixing holes, because it causes unpredictable and variable stress raisers in the centre boss.

They could of course be completely naff, as we are all old as well :)

Speedline 2120's have 11 spokes

OZ SuperT's have 16

OZ SuperL's have 12

OZ Tribe Evo's have 10

Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's have 12

Don't worry I didn't just look that up! This is my wheel shortlist! So I have a very geeky spreadsheet already!

As Ken says, 10 seems to be the logical number of spokes for a 5 bolt hub, so I can't explain why so few have that number... bizzaro!

I didn't actually say "10", I said "a natural multiple", so 5, 10, 15, 20... until you re-invent the spoked steel wheel (like a Borrani)!
