Replacement Roof Aerial

One thing I really miss on the new Superb is the ability to lock the rear seats in place. My old model Superb had a key lock on each of the seat releases, so you could stop people getting in to the boot if they've managed to get inside the car.

I owned the MK I car for 3 years, and never knew that....

One of these days, I may even read the manual, but that would be so un-bloke like (and besides, being in IT/Security, RTFM is what we tell other people, not what we actually do ourselves )

Totally understand the security aspect. If you live in an area where this is a problem, then it makes total sense. I guess I'm pretty lucky that I live in a place where that kind of thing rarely happens.

In any event, I still don't leave anything on show in the car. I always put stuff in the boot when I'm parked. Too many of my colleagues have lost laptops/satnavs etc. for me to take the risk.

i know what you mean re seat locks as my passat has these. however i reckon if they have managed to get in the car they will have no problem getting though the flimsy seat lock of for that matter just going in the boot through the boot lid.

i think the tints look awful and i am sure my kids would really hate sitting in the dark all the time. we spend a lot of our lives in the dark in this country so i prefer to take advantake of the sunshine - each to their own !!

aerial - not sure. cant make my mind up. will wait until i see a side profile pic of the car to see how it looks. i think the only real improvement will be to have no aerial at all - like the audi's. however, as i have said before, i dont think the aerials hidden in the pillars are as good

I personally think that aerial swap looks 100% better than the huge Skoda one - I shall be purchasing!

I cant even find a word to explain how uggly the car looks with the original roof aerial :finger:

Like a superlong pointer that my teacher had in school,

Dont ask me, but i first discover the roof arial today:orb_bonk: and immediate orderd a replacment aerial.

I dont have the car yet, but i will not drive it for even a meter whitout replacing it.

This is what i ordered from a company in Sweden.

10 cm long and i paid £9,60

that looks silly - like a magicians magic want !!!

the aerial is the one used by most of the VW group - just look around at most VWs/Seats on the road and you will see the same aerial

next you will be saying the black tyres look ugly and you have ordered some in the same colour as your car !!! LOL

Keep your ugly aerial if you want, just beacuse there is 500000 cars with the original aerial does not make it look good....

Hey, i had a flagpole for aerial in the the Eighties, it's 2009 now.....

When it comes to tyre's.......

I hadn't thought of it before but maybe you've identified a good reason to have the 'Variable Boot Floor' - provided whatever you 'value' is small enough to fit into the space beneath. It would surely be almost impossible to open the 'boot floor' from within the cabin.
