Well its that time of year again.

I have the dilemma of deciding what goodies to buy

Option 1: a new cone filter to go on the Ebay CAI,which i have taken off.

I do miss the noise it makes but want good filtration without power loss. Jetex sell one at a reasonable price, any good? or suggestions please.

option 2: replace standard filter for an uprated panel filter, if so which one?

option 3: My bro works for an Audi dealer so i could get a discount on the S3 front upper and lower strut brace?

or any other suggestions?

Erm, i'd go for a nice filter for the cai myself... either that or the strut braces.

I'd love to get a cai but it's wet down her 99% of the time, not idea for a low mounted filter.

Lower brace and filter. I have both strut braces and when I fitted the lower I could feel the extra taughtness in the car but the upper made no difference at all when it went on although it does look good when I'm under the bonnet

Looks like the strut brace is gonna be a clear winner. I wonder if i could swing the strut braces and the panel filter. Hmmm.

It went round quicker than an Elise in the end though. As did the Arbarth 500 the week before which I found rather interesting :rubchin:

Very good option Steve and probably the best one but i haven't got the cash for one :thumbdwn:, infact i haven't done any suspension/ handling mods at all:O just gone for straight line speed.

So far I've ordered a ramair replacement foam panel filter (£18.50 delivered) and the lower strut brace is sorted. Just need to bring swmbo around to getting the upper brace, i think shes sick of buying me car things:rolleyes:
