Featured Replies

Hi everyone I have had my Vrs for about 1 month now and think it is great. Am taking it to get a bit of work done to up the performance. I am taking it to a company called the dervdoctor.co.uk I have rand him and he says that he can give me 44 bhp increase and 65 lb ft of tourque increase for 499 + vat, has anyone had any work done by this dude? If so are his figures true?

He says he can also fit a dump valve just wondering if it would damage the engine, it is elecronically controlled. Has anyone else got one? if so where from? Sorry bout all the questions new to this forum lark. :)

Oky i like the sound of being able to stop before i go quicker, so what wouldyou recommend for brakes then and what prices?

Find yourself second hand set of either octavia vRS front brakes or off a TT/S3 audi, 312mm stright fit. If you do a search on brakes loads of previous threds will turn up, its been well covered.

Welcome to the forums :)

Ive started a trend with these bigger brakes by the looks of things :D

Those 312mm disks do fill the std rims out really well.

I bet sales of green Hammerite go through the roof

Hi thanks guys for posting on my thread first time i have done one. The brakes look sweet!!!!! how much are they for the octavia brakes? and are they a staright swap or do i need to mod?

There is a thread on here with a step by step guide on how to do the Octavia brakes on the Fabia, hold on i'll do the search for you...

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?t=9660

There it is with pictures (or will be when ive rehosted them). Octavia brakes are pretty rare to come up second hand (dont bother with new, way to expensive) but any 312mm brakes from the like of Audi TT/S3, Leon Cupra, 4mo Golf will do just fine, if you like paint them green to match, I believe Hammerite do a colour that is near as damn it.

Thanks for the advice, so what would be a "reasonable" price to pay for the brakes then?
