lowered octavia

Featured Replies

I've had my otavia rs for a couple of years and I've always thought about lowering it and tunig the engine. I'm just wondering how low i can go on the standard 17's without ruining the car. Any lowerd octavia pictures would be great. Cheers :)

Get yourself some coilovers and then you can adjust the ride height to whatever you like, peoples opinions vary on how low to go but ultimately the choice is yours :D

aw why not lowered on KW v'3 Coilovers i reckon around 20mm down on front and a tad more on the rear from standard vrs, still goes over speedbumps fine

I did this a couple of weeks ago. It cost me about £30 from B&Q and consisted of eight bags of gravel and ten bags of sand. Cheap and effective.

Really wish I'd got a picture of my rather ambitious slate chippings run in mine this summer

ya gotta love the octy... such a workhorse at times ;) i remember doing a similar lanscaping trip, with my rather large and heavy mate also in the front.... still flew up a rather steep hill in 4th no probs, my mate was

I found that filling the back of my estate with t&g chipboard flooring had the same affect. Not sure I took a picture though :-(

Very true. It has a hard life at times does the old girl. One week it's a flatbed truck, the next a removal van, after that a rival for my mate's ITR then back to a commuter car. A good all rounder really.

To get back onto the theme of the thread. I wondered at the time how if the car was already lowered, would it have coped with my full load of building materials?

  • 2 weeks later...

i slammed my octy on on coil overs 60mm on aftermarket alloys 17" low profile tyres found no wheels rubbing and body roll is completly gone

comes i very handy on the track or street only problem is speed bumps and curbs as i found out in mcD chassie was fine needs a bit of metal reworkin not knoticeable

i say lower the better but be warn there are probles

This was mine lowered all the way down on Coilovers.
