Featured Replies

(1) Don't forget he will be going from around 150bhp to around 200bhp so its a big difference between stock and remapped

Got it booked in Awesome tomorrow...can't wait. Getting oil change as well with some fully synthetic ester based oil from opie oils.

Will let you know how I get on.

Drove back from Awesome after remap, oil change, coolant temp sensor replacement.

The car now really pulls well...I must get the coilovers done next.

I was 'woo hooing' all the way back (even with the crappy rush hour traffic).

Try it...its seriously fun

Back next week for full geometry and replace the rear brake pads.

Great news.

I remember the drive back to work from Awesome...'woo hooing' whilst overtaking 2 motorbikes on a great Peak District road!

Hmmm really fancy coilovers, arbs, exhaust, big turbo.....

:D so do I , I remember my drive back after my diesel remap

Was good , still have lots of fun in my car

Still haven't had full opportunity to test it out..but the small chances I have I am really impressed with.

Aaquil, beware of Sarah she can empty your wallet faster than your tank after a remap.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Seriously, you will enjoy the extra power & torque :thumbup: I had mine done at Jabba approx 2 years ago & I am still smiling:D:D

Defo worth getting an uprated airfilter & keep an eye on the DV, as it has been known to let go after a remap;).

I hope you realise you are now on the slippery slope of the modder:rofl::rofl: you will find things you absolutely have to have to make it go/stop/feel/look better,

welcome to the club :rofl::rofl::rofl:

PS Hi Sarah :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

yea I know about that,

as you can see from my sig mate, that car as std looks ace but once you start it is hard to stop. it is hard but i think I have done nearly all I need to mine, just had the RStuning custom map done on mine now and out of 4 dif maps I have had from 4 dif places this is the best as the others were all cowboys! not one of them was anywere near smooth even though they gave 210bhp or there abouts apart from the RED DOT one that was proper pants!!!!!!!196bhp and crap torque. Now I have 226bhp 260ft lb at flywheel. no smoke, and pulls like hell all the way thru, there is no real noticable lag neither,

I love it. the car should come with 225bhp std IMHO?

Just wait till you can test her out properly mate,

billy

I still think you ought to start saving for better clutch:eek: Mine was ok for a short while but not up to the job. Replacement cost about £650:eek::eek: The only other thing I've done is the brakes. Other than the clutch its been pretty good. Mpg varies between 38 and 17:eek::eek::eek: Hopefully you'll get lucky on the clutch.:thumbup:

Clutch fine on mine. Touch wood

Clutch fine on mine. Touch wood

I think its the 4x4 that causes the problem, wheels don't spin so much putting more load on the clutch
