Bulbs

Featured Replies

I was wondering what types of up rated bulbs you folks are using in your Roomsters. I think the time has come to do some thing about those pretty poor lights. My friend has Osram Night Breakers in his Land rover and says they are very good. Does anyone on here have anything to add to this, please?

I have Osram Nightbreakers in the missus mk1 Furby and they are excellent :) Had one go fairly early on in its life and the service from Osram was pretty painless :)

Osram NB is great compared to stock bulbs...

Using them more than a year...

Phillips Extreme for me; the Osram Nightbreakers have a bit of a reputation for not lasting too long; OR

Decron's HID kit looks a pretty good buy.

I suppose it all depends on what sort of mileage you will do at night and on what roads and how nifty you are at DIY installations.

The only concern about the HID, when you drive your car while your headlights off, in case of flashing the HID bulbs need a short time to lighten effectively.

And flashing is dramatically reducing the lamp life when the lights are in off position.

On the other hand, Xenon kit without a headlight washers is not allowed in some countries.

But anyway I wish I had them, especially the 4150°K white :D

Looks like the Night Breaker get the vote, i will try them if i can get the old ones out. I take it they are ok in the projector head lights? Thanks for the responsies.

YES (but I still prefer the Philips Extreme)

I had nightbreakers and they turned black and blistered. Powerbulbs just replaced them for me with a brand spanking new set as it appears Osram had a bad batch.

I've plagurised Decrons idea's again and fitted HIDS to mine so (shameless plug) you can have a brand new set of nightbreakers for £20 if you want :):):)
