AUDI TT wheels!

Featured Replies

Yep they will fit on mate, theres a couple going about with them on just now.

Id go with 215/40 tyres myself.

Im picking up a set of these during the week.

Should look ok.

215's sound fine.

They are the way forward (ive got a set) My tyres are 205 and look a little too narrow for the rims so definately so for 215+.

Ref them potentially sticking out past the arches I wouldnt worry as long as whatever mod you have doesnt pose a danger to pedestrians/other road users you'll be OK.

i have 215's on my spiders, and have the same six spoke tt wheels on 215's also with no issues at all,my comps still have the 215/45/17's on and they don't cause problems either, car will be better on 215/40's tho:thumbup:

oh and mines about 70mm lower too

Do you have the rear adjusters out running on the 17's?

When i did with the 17" anteras, i had real problems.

no it would be way to low to handle properly with the adjusters out,i did try it but it rubbed a little when cornering hard, its quite high now for a lowered car i find it to be at the optimum point of balence and has sort of cured the problem of the back snaping away under hard breaking

Whats the law say with regards wheels being out the arches?

Thanks in advance

Technically Traffic Plod might have words, but the overhang has to be pretty silly for them to bother. However, if he trips over the tyre with those big feet :D

with 215's on they will not stick out of the arch,so no problem

Just bought myself these wheels

Audi Genuine TT 17" Alloys. on eBay, also, Wheel Rims, Car Wheels, Tyres Trims, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-Nov-08 19:10:45 GMT)

Will the offset be ok with 205 wide tyres because it looks like they will stick out the arch a little? Whats the law say with regards wheels being out the arches?

Thanks in advance

Wow; four wheels for £50 - Bargain! Mind you at 13kg per wheel they are certainly not lightweight.

Do you know what the offset on them is? I can't see it in the ebay listing.

However, to work out if they will 'fit' your car have a look at this website that I found a few days ago as one of the links on here;- Wheel Offset Calculator

I reckon they'll look lovely!!

Actually I've been thinking about a change of alloys for a couple of months now, tempted to go back to the original 16's, perhaps in anthracite.

Yes not a bad price to pay, but it will cost me £50 in diesel to get them, got a 600 mile round trip to go pick them up next sat!

Thanks for your help guys, the reason i say i want 205's is i like the look of streched tyres and there seems to be a greater choice of tyres in the 205 width

Im getting my set for £50 aswell.

Only 20 miles to travel to get mine though.

600 mile for 50 quid in winter....
