Well after hunting about a bit I found a black 53 plate VRS for sale on the 'trader for £4800 - 75K on the clock - one owner full service history - just had belt, waterpump, 4 new tyres, new disc and pads all round etc etc!!

So called the guy about going down today to have a look - got there a little late because my little girl wasnt well on the way down. But had a good poke around could find anything wrong with it other then a very light parking scape on the passengers side rear arch (should polish out!)

After a good test drive and nothing bad showing up in the test drive I made him an offer of £4600 - he said £4650 - we shook and I came home with this:-

The tyres maybe new, but they are aweful - loads of road noise and it spins in 3rd on a mildly damp road!!!! So they will be the first things to go!

Already did my first quick mod - a magic tree! (sorry standing joke with people who know me!)

But i've now got £1300 left to play with!

Yeah - mk4 is down 80mm at front and 70mm at back on 15" Tresers - I always go low and smooth! Just ditched the rat look bonnet and went back to my original black one!

I've had Toyo T1R's on most of my cars - i'm going for a set of 17's (I think 18's are too big!) as it still means I can go pretty low witout scrubbing. Think i'll stick at 7.5x17 at the most!

Is it just me or is the grill(around the front fog lights) slightly different to every other vRS I've seen. Maybe it's just the lighting??
