wiper problem...

Featured Replies

right, basically last night it was totally dry,but my windscreen was very dirty,so went to put the window washers on,but my rear wiper came on!realised then that my front wipers wernt working on any of the speed settings and my window washers wernt working!only thing that would work was my back wiper, and it now goes on instead of my front window wash!:thumbdwn:

al fuses etc are fine, anyone any ideas on what this could be??

It's Fuse F15 mini fuse. Double check you are reading the fuse map in the right order. If it's 5 AMP fit a 10AMP fuse. Usually blows if wipers stuck to glass with frost, or washer bottle contents frozen.

^^^^ As he says, its common on the Fabia:thumbup:

Many thanks signed up within 10 mins problem fixed brilliant

cheers lads,dont know how i missed that fuse!it was a 10amp too!

Same problem myself today, glad I'd seen this before. Bloody happened on the M4 had to travel some way to the services so I could check the fuses. Think I'll make a stronger screenwash mix, I'm guessing it was a frozen washer bottle that did it.

Fuse map is poo. It's a mirror image of the fuse box and there are several fuses in the wash wipe system. I'd have struggled if I hadn't been on here.

Im keeping fuses in my car now, just incase this happenes again.

Yup, the fuse map probably guides you to buried treasure on a remote island somewhere  It sure as Hell doesn't show you where the fuses are :D

Genius! I was ten minutes away from calling the garage. That could have been an expensive and embarrassing fuse. Thanks

I took my car to the garage after showing the man how to read the fuse board (i am a nurse he is a mechanic) he told me it must be the motor as my fuse was okay. In frustration I looked on this website and it appears lots of people have had the same problem. Thank you for your help

I read this post yesterday, then this morning when it was apparently -7.5 c I decided to try and give my jets a go... bad idea!

Oh well off to halfords I guess

Iv got the same problem but my fuses are not blown, any suggestions..

my fuse was blown but hard to see it as break was behind a moulding mark of the fuse, needed a meter to check. washers still frozen or pump buggered as it is still b cold here. do front and rear washers share a pump or are there 2???

Air Temp is 6 Degrees celsius

Rear wiper screenwash not getting through to wiper.

Front wiper screen wash is jetting out ok though.

Are they both run on the same 10 amp fuse (# 15 on the fuse panel layout plan) or are they separate fuses?

Could it be a blocked pipe and if so is this a common problem?

Lots of info on the rear wiper jets not working on here. The pipe will probably of popped off somewhere. Have a search has been about 15 posts in the last 2 weeks
