New roof for the other car

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Just thought I'd let you know what I got up to last weekend and see what you thought of the outcome... I fitted a new blue mohair hood to my MX5

As jobs go it wasn't too technically dificult but was fairly laborious as it took me and a mate a total of 7.5hrs including preparation and clearing up and a break for lunch.

Photos are in the gallery - http://www.briskoda.net/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=91&page=1&sort=1

So... what do you reckon?

Reckon it looks cool

I reckon it looks the dogs danglies  Blue looks a lot better. Can I have a go? :D

My dad once changed the hood on an MGB he had (vinyl to mohair) and many a happy night was spent listening to the swearing coming from the garage.

Can I have a go? :D .

Might consider it... depending on the trade!

Hmmm...

I have access to a fleet of commercials, one of the Kangoos is particularly erm... nice. I'll even empty the ashtray and jetwash the interior.

Or how about my wife's Polo? 'They' say those PD engines are very good.

Or there's even the '86 300SL (think Beverley Hills Cop) my dad bought with my wedding fund? Nice for the Ecclesall Road pose.

Or maybe you're free on the 29th? :D

Very nice indeed!

Hmmm... 29th... would that be the rolling road day by any chance?

Probably seeing family that day but might try and pop over.

Let me know :D
