Yeah i allready read that post.. and yes with the update i can read the ecu no problem ..but it just wont write back to the ecu !

Its possible, but unlikely that you could have read the file in that case...

I know the kwp2000+ works because i have written to other ecu's a few times just never an me7.5

Well, I hate the things as I know of alot of horror stories...

Will is right, if it was something such as Revo code stopping you from writing then it would stop you from reading as well.

I'm guessing your equipment came from ebay? I would hazard a guess that 90% of the KWP2000's knocking around are chinese copies and the tool is old now in any case. There's lots of better, more up to date hardware around but this stuff costs money and this is why you find that the £60 jobs off ebay just don't cut the mustard.

I'm always passing Leeds if you need a hand. I take it you already have a modified file if you were trying to write back to the ECU?
