Bimmer M6 I'm selling - any thoughts?

Featured Replies

Just wondering what the general Briskoda consensus about this car is? I know its a BMW [spit] but IF I was going to in the market for one at some stage, this is the sort of BMW I would actually quite fancy, and aim to get. Something about the old 6 series cars, especially the "M" ones, and this one has to be fairly rare nowadays?

Any thoughts on this beast? Its scarey, but I like it! Let the flaming begin!

Very nice!

Bit of a cheek advertising test drives "as passenger only" though. Does he expect someone to buy a car without driving it?

Oops! Just remembered that's EXACTLY what I just did

Edit: Those seats would come up very nicely with some Glyptone.

I like the 6-series, sleek yet purposeful, though I wouldn't like to be in one in an accident - tend to blow up despite the best efforts of a pink'n'ginger cockney... :D

Also like the 8-series too, though it does look quite dated these days.

Nice car I don't know about the roll over protection though Jason? ;)

Nice looking car and they do go well for an older car. I used to drive a 635CSi and it was Fab.

Check the service history though. These are good engines but buying one with 222000 miles already on it - just be careful!!

 OUCH!

old guy that used to live across the road from me had one,was a nice way to be woken up on a sunday when he took it for its weekly run out.sounded awesome virtually identical to that one

Memories......Dad had one of the last ones. Been addicted to the sound of 6 cylinder's ever since  . Rear end a bit wayward on wet roundabouts  if a bit heavy footed.

iirc it was badged as M635 CSi not M6

Karl

I never knew they did an m6, loved the 635, wanted one (as usual) after seeing it on innerspace chasing after jack putter!

Now this is a car I could have some SERIOUS fun in!

I like them :D Could be a tad wayward, especially in the wet. Check the wheels, it was one of the few that had funny sized wheels to accomodate metric sized tyres, which are no longer available.

I'd have one :D

Got 10 people tracking it now.

I dunno about this thing, because although its got an M6 badge on the back, I was told it was an M6 635CSI... so me is a little confused... Did the normal 635CSI ahve the 286BHP straight six too? Cuz this is what this one has...

Jon - its got new bimmer alloys, so dunno about the size issue. :D

Oh, and its only done 50K since its rebuild so the 222000 mileage may only be an issue for other running gear - the engine and stuff should be totally fine.

Yep , unfortunately your advert does read as "This car is money pit"

My mates selling his 635CSI as he has realised that running such a beast is no joke, averages 20 MPG and when I asked about servicing he just giggled at me. But if anyone wants it, he's got it for sale for
