plastic boot dish

Featured Replies

what do you think of this accessory? I bought one but it was a lot flimsier than i thought it would be. Wish i'd gone for the rubber loadliner

I think there is 2 versions. 1 rubbery and 1 semi hard plastic. The last one has the higest borders and keeps more dirt out. Personally I have the plastic thingy which I love.

Where did you get it from?

Hi Gillywiblbe,

I got mine from the local dealer, part No. DCE610001A (Plastic boot liner) Cost me £38.20 +value added theft (VAT):D

I had the high sided type and it was great, I carry a vac pump around with my tools and it has the tendancy to spill oil every now and again and the boot dish contained it every time.

hi gillywibble

i got it grom a skoda dealer

Mine is plastic from a dealer and it's fine. I presume it is the same one, is it covered in squares to prevent movement of goods?

Yes, it sounds like the same one, easy to remove and hose down to remove the blood and feathers.

:)

I've had to hose that off the front of a previous car, but never from the boot!

I got a plastic one from ebay for my estate, it's kept the back like new despite having muddy terriers in a lot of the time,a must have!Regards Monkster.

Ya see, i'm of a different school of thought.

SWMBO has an '04 Leon with a plastic boot tray, which is a great idea, but the sides on it are massive compared to the octy ones so I didn't think they were that good. I personally went for the waterproof liner (DMM 619/629 001), which is a material instead of a rigid design and it's amazing! I've got a BIG boxer dog, pictured on the left there, and my interior still looks mint despite all his drool. Hardly ever have to even wipe it underneath, let alone hoover. Also, it give the advantage with dogs that there's a flap that pops over the bumper to avoid the paint getting scratched when he jumps in & out. Also, when i've taken stuff down the dump, it's easy to take out and holds water almost like a bag, and when you want to clean it, you fold down the velcro corners and it's a flat sheet.

That's just my twopenneth.

Link doesn't work fella

I was wondering if they did these for the octy - I constantly carrying crap around in my boot for my Midget so one of these would be ideal. Would have saved my carpets from getting covered in crap when I picked up 4 dirty rusty rostyles the other day :(

I've got the plastic one with a lip of around 5cm - Its great.

Haggled it in when I bought it new.
