Your Superchip remap is ready to download ???

Featured Replies

I have a 07' octavia RS 2.0 TFSI. I got bluefin today. First I stored original data by connecting the bluefin to my car's diagnostic port. Second I installed the bluefin sotfware on my computer and sent the original data to Superchips servers.

As soon as I sent (in a minute or two) I got an e-mail from them which said

Customer Name: mustafa kuthan karakog

Serial Number: 06T03608

Your Superchip remap is ready to download

Now is the remap ready ??? Or will I wait for monday for them to send me the remapped data ???

My mind is confused :(

It's probably a common one which was already on the server an hence gets an immediate return.

That's fast  just download and use it :D

thats fine mate, same happened with my bluefin remap, i was a bit dubious at first, just plug her into the computer download it, and get it on your car.

let us know what you think, i loved it, 500 pound well spent, still want to get it on the rolling road though to see how optimistic thy're bhp figres are. get out and give it the beans in 3rd and 4th thery are the best gears now

Thanks everyone. First I tought there was a problem but when i reconnected the usb cable to pc it began to download the remap ...

I can clearly say it is the best 360 pounds I spent so far... the machine turned in to a monster :)

its the mutts nuts isnt it, ive been using 100 ron fuel since the remap as well and a pipercross filter and i think it is phenomenal the difference it has made, and i am really keen to see a RR printout for the figures. just waiting for payday(bloody xmas). the torque comes in so much earlier as well doesnt it

Just wanted to agree about the Bluefin.

Have had mine a week, it's just like the car has 'woken up'. Just so much more responsive all round, and the performance at higher revs is scary:thumbup:

It's good value for money at the moment with the 20% offer as well.

Just filled up with V-power for the weekend so will give it a blast on that...

My last car was a Leon Cupra, always wanted a remap, and thought I would do it once out of warranty, but then never got around to it.

I bought an 06 Octy vRS a month ago, 1 year left on the main warranty, but it's just had a service so I thought may as well go for it now.

I would recommend it:flipgrin:

Where are you getting 100RON fuel from?

what is skodas official view on remaps,my car is only 3 months old, please dont say i have to wait over 2 1/2 years to get it mapped.

remap = invalid warranty (or at least on part failures which could of been caused by the remap). Sorry :o

You might be lucky and have an understanding dealer in the case of any problems, OTOH you may not.

EDIT: and welcome to the site! :D

i work and live in germany nearly all year round and use shell v power racing 100 ron, 122 cent a litre

I have BlueFin on my TFSI as well, had it since May last year and I've been very happy. I had a remapped 1.8T A3 before and the map was aggressive as anything, boost came in really hard and it was often a bit of a handfull when trying to drive it normally.

The Bluefin map has loads of power but if you're not driving it hard then you'd never know it was re-mapped, drives very smooth.

Just bought a CAI kit so will be getting rid of my PiperX filter and seeing what difference that makes too. I hear the CAI and the re-map go very well together on the TFSI.

I totally agree .

Which CAI are you planning to buy for the best performance ?

I wanted to keep the costs down so i bought a Nuspeed P-flo and then rather than buy their CAI extension pipe, I bought a sillicon 45 degree elbow and a length of mandrel bent tube from ebay and made my own extension for £30 rather than the £110+ vat for the genunine pipe :)

The filter will be mounted in the hole behind the bumper (behing the passenger headlamp.

All in all its cost about £190 inc Vat which is about £60 less than the nearest CAI option.

I also saw this on ebay the other night ~NEW~ Air Induction Kit - VW Golf Mk5 Gti 2.0 FSiT on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 12-Jan-09 17:03:23 GMT)

Seems to be a copy of the Nuspeed pipe design, even if the filter is crap you could just buy this for the pipe at £62 and then get your own filter (K&N or Green) for about £50.

CAIs are a ripoff for what they are. I used to be an engineering aprentice and with the right gear you could make them for £20!
