just purchased an 06 plate 67k mile 1 owner full dealer history (supplying dealer) with 1 year warranty tax new brakes and tyres for 5250. also has cruise factory 6 disc changer and xenons from rainworth skoda mansfield. pics on my newbie thread

September 07 you could hardly get a 04 for under 7.5k....

i picked up a bargain at 7.3k 04 with 37k with cruise and heated seats, remap and pd160.... and at the time that was real cheap

now worth around 4.5k ... bad times

fairzo, My Silver 05 21k VRS was up for £6995 at a skoda dealers, they then had it advertised online for £6495 as a xmas sale. However when I went to view it the price on the forecourt was £6795. I knocked it down to £6100.

turns out car was never recorded HPi clear seller deals in CatD mainly and thought this was but damage before and after pics showed it to be a joke front vandalised no worrying damage from contacting first keeper never even went threw insurance company as it wasnt insured at the time tut tut

not SE facelift ......... would be nice if it was the Blue though suits the vrs very well :(

I'm in the same boat as you Jase! I got my 04plate in November 07 for £6730 with 43k on the clock and a couple of mods. Now I would be lucky to get £5,500 for it and its got plenty of mods!

Thats why I'm keeping it, why would I want to get rid of it after the money I've spent on it and I'm not finished lol

Just sold my o4 black vrs 41,000 miles for 5,100 pounds due to bad times at work am totally gutted and am now using my bike,was a great car and as soon i get back on my feet think i will start saving for an s.e.

Skoda dealers seem to be around £500 - £1000 higher than independant but I suppose that covers the warranty cost.

The 2004 is private, the 56 is an independant garage

It varyed it was on exchange and mart for 4995 then I went to see it, it was reduced from 5495 to 4695 I got them to 4500

I bought it from a Ford dealer (Who deal in used cars too) in West Brom they took it in part exchange for an ST!!

£6175 for a 56 in red with 17,500 on the clock. Warranty until september, managed to haggle this on saturday, though the tyres haven't got much life left in them.

Yeah, it was on ebay but decided to drive down and offered him £6,000 (to get the ball rolling). Some nonsense used car dealer had been down and offered £4,000, so I think he was relieved when someone came with a sensible-ish offer, and he said he wanted £6,300 so we met half-way.

When I saw it, I was willing to pay up to £7k for it, was just there at the right time. It's due for a service in March, so I'm going to ask the trade-in value of it, just out of curiosity. My aim is to get the SE at some point, the VRS is absolutely fantastic.

i have been thinking of selling my se of late,maybe 11500,and even at that it would be a bargain with the mods as you couldn't buy the cheapest vrs on this thread and add the mods that are on mine for 11500,whats he cheapest se people have found?
