Anyone who's driven the two; opinions appreciated please

Note: Not looking to change my Fabia any time soon, especially not for a boring car like the A3.

the A3 would out handle the Fabia very easily.

Exactly what I was after actually, thank you.

I've got a choice between going in my own car or going in a mate's car to a track day at some point next year and we decided this was the best way to choose between the two - take the better handling one.

As it's the current shape A3, I'd agree with the above, in handling terms. The 2.0FSI isn't the greatest performing unit, however, although it will be lighter on the front end than the PD130 pig iron lump

The A3 is the same underneath as the Octavia so it is bigger than the Fabia but I would say handles better, especially if its a newer one with IRS etc.
