Removing A pillar trim

Featured Replies

Guys,

I want to remove the A pillar trim to fit my hands free mic cable but it has air bag written down it.

is it possible or do i have to go without my hands free??

Thanks

Just pull and the trim will come off. The airbag is attached to the car body not the trim piece. Once removed, simply route cable in such a way that the airbag function is not disrupted.

If you have the plastic tab with airbag marked on it you need to carefully prise this out and remove the screw behind it and then you can pull the trim off.

If you can lit the trim slightly at windscreen side, you dont have to remove it to get the cable to sit in there.

I used a small allen key, and ensured there wasnt any slack floating around. In fact IIRC there is a rubber strip windscreen side, and mine's in there.

Just wrap electrical tape sticky face outwards and stuff it in between the trim and windshield, and then between the windshield and headliner, and retrieve it by removing the interior light, if you wish to mount it in the OEM position.
