Looking to get a Fabia vRS...

Welcome Krptix

Some great roads in Derbyshire, Im regularly around there during the summer months on my current steed (GSXR 1000).

Love the R6's this was my last bike, a 2005 R6 which I did 30K on in three years, including my first ever trip to Europe :D .

Perhaps we need a Cat & Fiddle meet when the weather warms up on the bikes.

Did someone mention cars ???

RBW.

I think the mid-170s is the limit on a standard turbo.

Mine made 181bhp on p torque dyno after stage 1 map, with a custom exhaust system, pd160 and panel filter.

However the torque made 302lb ft, and wills software limits it to 295

So taking into account a margin of error of around 7 torques, I'd say mine's making 175ish bhp - right on the money :)

Oh cool... I saw you post in another thread saying about your 130bhp R6.

I asked how you managed to get an extra 35bhp out of your R6, but it got deleted.

I've spent over grand tuning mine, and I've only seen 105bhp at the rear wheel.

That is at the fly & to be honest , I think the R&R was a little optimistic.

They are allegedly 120 Bhp @ the fly as standard.

2000 Yamaha YZF-R6 specifications and pictures

Race Can, Air Filter, Dyno jet,Ape Manual Cam Chain Adjuster & some Octane Booster :D

Cheers

As others have said, if you were impressed with a standard vRS, I wouldn't go rushing for getting it any more powerful. Whilst it's a great point and squirt car, the handling does have its limits and the heavy lumpy engine up front and a relatively heavy car for its class can surprise you until you get the hang of it. Some of us many many moons ago thought it was the best car on the planet, made even better after a remap and then had a nice little write-off to prove it.

And I'm a biker too!

The handling isn't bad, but once you get use to the torque (3rd gear / 30mph out of roundabouts on dual carriageways are :D) the engine performance does make you believe the overall package is better than it really is.

That said, I still love mine and it has been pretty well tweaked (hybrid turbo, FMIC, organic clutch + pressure plate, Milltek exhaust, Eibach sprints, Koni FSD shocks, top front strut brace, rear ARB, brembo 4 pot caliper brakes with 323mm discs). You just have to remember to slow down on the corners ;)
