remapping a 07 octavia 1.9tdi 40k

Featured Replies

Hi folks. I'm a new member and i would like advice on the pros and cons of remapping my 07 octy elegance 1.9 with 40k on the clock. I would love to trade up to a rs tdi but the garages here in ireland are not interested in taking my perfectly conditioned car unless I practically give it to them for near nothing. So rather than give my car away I am considering getting the engine remapped to increase it's hp and torque..

I am extemely happy with my car and it's fuel economy is brilliant(45-55)

Any Views?

By the way our car prices are ridiculously expensive here in ireland due to huge tax tarrifs imposed by our government!!

There's plenty of threads on here regarding remapping. I think quite a few will say 'go for it'!

Hi Gaff. Sorry I missed your pm but my laptop threw a wobbly as I was reading it!! Could you send it again and i'll reply with details

Hiya.

For:- faster car, and possibly more economical if you don't use the power all the time

Against:- Insurance might be more, issues with any remaining manufacturer's warranty.

If you use the site menus to browse to "Control Panel" then to "Personal Messages/Inbox" you should find that Gaff's message is still there, but marked as "read", ok?
