Best back to black?

Featured Replies

I've never back to blacked my rubber bits (or the car lol) so they're starting to look a little faded, especially with the occaisonal bit of autoglym polish that gets on it.

I got a bottle of this stuff called Armor-all, but it only seems to have a temporary effect, and ain't really that good on frist application.

So whats the bestest strongestest intensivest back to black gunk? And I'm talking real black... (or close)

I shan't mention scratch touching up... Another coat of Tcut should sort most of the roof out ;)

Jason, havn't you read all the 'alternative methods' for rejuvinating faded plastic in here over the last few months....peanut butter!! ;)

I bought some of the turtlewax stuff today to get ready for trax and considering mine hadnt been done for ages it came out really well.

Don't fancy the smell, Col ;) But might buy a pot... better use it at night, else the neighbours might start talking.

Think I'd better get out of this thread before I get into anymore trouble...like last time!!

turtlewax, eh manny? Will take a look in Okehampton's best (read that as "only") motor factors some time soon. :D

Autoglym bumper restorer (I can't remember it's proper name ATM ) is fantastic stuff. Peanut butter is better though :D

if not using peanut butter, use autoglym tyre and trim dressing - fantastic stuff.

Autoglym bumber care gel. Works and lasts -water just beads and runs off.

Yet to try peanut butter.

I used the autoglym stuff, and it came off when we had some particularly heavy rain...not only that, it left black streaks down the car where it had ran. Did exactly as it said on the bottle...What went wrong?

Cheers

Oh dear, is Trax going to be one of these "my car is shinier than yours" do's?? :(

Can't be outdone by the Audi, VW & Seat rabble now can we Nick?? ;)

Yes - I don't give a st*ff. A car is for driving, not for polishing.

That said, I will try and give it a wash

Don't strain yourself Nick :P :D

I won't ... :) I'm coming along strictly for the track time - no car tart, me.

no car tart, me.

Says the man with 3 cars :D

And they're all for driving - although I was under the MG painting the front subframe last night

PS 3? - I think you're forgetting wifey's and youngest son's - still cluttering up the garage

Re-arrange the following into a well known phrase or saying.

Tart....car

I am not psychic :P

I used to use Armorall but now use......................peanut butter.
