Roomster in reverse

Featured Replies

I am new to the Roomster however I have noticed something which I consider strange.

Normally the heater controls are on the outside air setting. I have noticed that when I engage reverse the heater goes into recirculation mode but the warning light does not come on. When I go out of reverse the heater returns to normal.

No doubt there is a logical reason for this but I just cant think of one at the moment.

Anyone any ideas please

Cheers

Geoff

Stops exhaust fumes being sucked in to the car when reversing :D

also if you have the front wipers on when you select reverse the rear wiper will clear the rear window

Stops you getting exhaust fumes in the car as you are reversing out :)

I assume it's a diesel? It's to stop fumes being sucked back into the cabin when reversing.

Beat me to it - twice :D

Guys

What a response.

Many thanks for the reasoning

Regards

Geoff

Well, just fancy, I've had my Roomster 14 months and never noticed! Must be too busy looking where I'm going :)

The original Fabia does the same too

Most modern cars do this. Not just a VAG thing ;)

I'd noticed a change in the note of the fan & never known what it was. You live & learn.
