Whilst doing a different project (which will be revealed in time ;)) i had some spare Race Blue Paint left over.

I also had a spare surround for my MFD3 (bought 2 incase i knackered one up) so in a moment of madness (you can all guess where this is leading:D) i decided to see what a race blue surround would look like inside the car

Have a look at the before and after pics and tell me what you think in the poll i.e Chav or Not:D. I know what i think but i will reserve my judgement till i see other peoples reactions;)

i quite like that to be honest, but carbon fiber does it for me everytime, gives me a funny feeling in my pants lmao

Any man who doesn't like carbon fiber is dead on the inside

Fact!!!!

The only way to rescue this is either to code the rest of the trim to race blue.

even then, i fear it wouldn't look right on account of the black/grey plastics.

The contrast to race blue (which is quite a "bright" colour is too jarring.

IMHO.

I like it, but then I have absolutely no taste.

I like it :)

I'm not wild on it, but I also hate faux aluminium plastic panels, faux carbon fibre, plastic wood that's blatently been stuck on...

Chav I'm afraid.

Meh. It's ok, but the silver looked better. The blue is too bright compared to the sea of plastic that is the dash.

Not as bad as I feared, and I do kinda like it, but the silver looks better.

Could be worse.

You could have colour coded to match a lemon yellow exterior - like the dials and air vents on my old 02 Ibiza!

and one other thing......

NICKELBACK????

Chav, but better than I expected.

Like it. Reminds me of the Kuga interior, possibly needs more... although where to stop... hmm

(and I think Dark Horse is an excellent album, tho this could prove I have no taste)

Whats wrong with Nickelback:confused: That happens to be a good song and its a good job i never had my Classical folder playing instead then huh:finger::P

Each to their own on the style.

But you'll find that the paint will easily scratch off and will soon be looking very tatty unless you're the ultra ultra carefull type or you've sealed it with some sort of laqeur.

I pretty much agree.

Personally like the colour but doesnt really fit in with the rest of the dash.

If you like it though who cares :P

Bit too corsa I'm afraid.

Thanks all for your comments and votes. I will leave this to run for a couple of days and see what the majority verdict is. I will then reveal which one i think as i have already made my mind up and the surround i think looks the best is staying in the car. The other will be sprayed so i have a spare ;)

All guesses on a postcard :D:D:D:D

I think it looks alright - if you can see some blue paint work around you then it probably isn't that bad - makes a change from grey and silver!

I think it looks alright too.

If you want it to be chav you need some techno crap on the stereo! :D

I like it.

I wasn't expecting to as I read through the preamble but it does look nice.

Please take the cuddly toy off the dash though! :P

Leave (cuddly) Mater alone :P

That looks ace.

Maybe if all the silver trim was blue......maybe not.

Piano black?
