It looks ok, but i think it stands out too much on it's own compared to the rest of the interior.

well thanks to everyone who has voted.

The majority of you thought what i did. it does look a bit Chav. it did start to grow on me the more i looked at the pics (so i immediately stopped looking) however it just had something wrong with it.

To all those who thought it looked good i'll sell the surround to the highest bidder

At least you tried somthing different - Whack it up in the for sale section!

I think it looks quite good, take it ott though like air vents etc it looks crap and tacky

Not chav exactly but I prefer the silver.

i think it looks alright to be truthful.

Not chav, but looks wrong. I'm not a fan of the silver either.

Not too bad, but I prefer the original silver. Anyone tried this with sprint yellow yet ? :D

I'm also doing an MFD3 retro-fit, and have the same climatic controls, which means the only trim I can get will be black.

Not being a particular fan of the silver trim anyway, I'm going to be Mr Lazy and leave it black for now to see how I get on with it. The car is black magic metallic as well, so there's not a lot to be gained by spraying it.

That said, of the two, I'd probably stick with the silver - blue looks a bit too much 'Pimp My Ride'

I like it. Looks like its been done to a high standard and certainly brings a bit of colour to whats a fairly dull dash.

Although on a second look i do agree with others that the other silver trim needs changing too if you're sticking with the blue.

All the silver trim in a nice gloss black done from a paint shop will look ace

I like the blue tho,the centre piece which u hav done would be all you needed to do IMHO,keep it at that, its a cool feature point for the interior

I think If it was a metallic fleck/flake paint, it might look a bit better (maybe it is I cant tell from the pics) But I agree it could do with all the trim in the same colour before condeming it entirely.

You could get a few sets of trim and have them different colours, be like having new phone fascias for your car. lol

As earlier, I'd prefer black to blue or silver!

I like it, much better than the bland silver.
