Best place to order VAG parts and VCDS?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a place to order some parts, namely handle LED lights, wires, wiper inserts and a spare folding bag handle for the boot (and probably a rubber mat for the boot). Can I get some recommendations for the best place for these? I've got the part numbers just need a decent supplier.

I'm also looking for a UK dealer to get a legit Micro-CAN VCDS for my Octy mk2. Any recommendations? If it's somewhere that takes Paypal that'd be a bonus.

for vcds Ross-Tech: Distributor List is a list of international distributors. Do not rule out buying direct though as it may work out cheaper (bear in mind you would have to pay import tax when it gets to the uk)

I'm sure I saw someone selling a Micro-CAN interface on here yesterday, worth a look in the for sale section

For VCDS try

SAB Distribution - Home

They have the fully certified/genuine version at £235 (+£10 P&P)

Any ideas on best places to go for VAG parts?

Now that VAGParts have gone I'm afraid I don't :( Best to find a friendly dealer who'll do you good discount if you can.

There was another similar place to VAGparts that is just about to stop trading too, the Euro/£ is the killer.

Bummer I can't see much on eBay either. I guess I'll have to call the local dealer to see what they can do for my bits.

That is a real shame, I ordered some things from VagParts back in December, very quick service etc because I was too busy to go to dealer, pay and then back to pick bits up.

Is the low € going to have a effect on servicing and buying parts for Skoda I wonder? Guess as more and more dealers go under we are all going to have to travel more miles for anything! Where I live lots of other markers ones are going under... where will it all end :(

I wouldn't leave it too long on the VCDS, once they've used their current stock the next batch is going to cost them much more.

Ha anyone used Ilexa as I think by the time you've taken the VAG Com price, added VAT/import and postage charges it's coming in at similar money?

If so any comments on them?

Well I've just picked up a micro-can lead on here from someone that's done with it. I've ordered the parts from my local dealer who were more than happy to sort what I asked for. True I'd like to be able to order online, mainly then I can get it done when I'm at home rather than during my working hours.
