Its Arrived !!!

Featured Replies

I collected my Fabia vRS yesterday from the dealers.

Many thanks to Justin ( Wings of Peterborough ) for pulling out all the stops. ( my old car needed taxing , servicing , MOT ; the possible price increase on vRS in Sept. - all these things made me get a move on ) - but I took delivery just before all this was due. :D

I was considering waiting for the "face lift" model - but the changes seemed slight and the beige looked yuk!

I had a steady drive back from the dealers - this being the first diesel I have driven.

I did get some odd looks from other drivers in the Peterborough rush hour traffic - probably thinking why is that silly "git " in the black car driving so slowly.

If you drive in the Peterborough area and you see me give us a quick flash. ( er, you know what I mean ) - pics attached - it was raining

The only mods so far - Osram Silver Star headlight bulbs , Green Cotton filter.

Used Scotch Gard on seats - might make the seats easier to clean.

PS - Must remember to put diesel in first time I call at the garage!

One thing I do like about the interior is the row of blank switches !

It makes you want to stick some "decals"( if thats the correct word ) , to make them look as if they do something. I'm going to check the oil level each week because several threads mention that the PD130 engine can use some oil in the first few thousand miles.

Make sure you are careful checking the oil, the dip stick can be a bit deceptive.

Heated seat switched take up the far left & right blanks & I think the other one is for the ESP?? Can someone clarify that?

Re- switches ,

The outer ones are seat heater controls.

Air bag switched off

Traction control - ASR

Heated rear window.

Most people only have the last couple which leaves 4 blank. ( one of these could be the Electronic Stability Programme)

Can you tell me more about the vRS price change and thought the facelift didnt apply to the vRS? Is that a Beige interior option you mean?

It looks as though there will be a price change ( Sept ? ) when the "face lift" model arrives. Slightly different rear lights I think will be common to all models but I am not sure if the interior changes apply to the vRS model. The price increase is about

well i got screwed over at the dealer last night so i wont be getting mine so soon now unless anyone knows of any cheap nearly new ex demo etc vrs's in black :(

oh yes yours looks lovely too :( kinda reminds me of the one i was gonna get ;)

The black vRS's seem to be in demand. If I wanted any other colour it would have been quicker.

yep black is deffinately the colour to have :)
