My old Fabia vRS is up For sale at the dealers already

Featured Replies

I'v just been looking on the dealers website where I bought my new car from, and my old Fabia vRS is listed on their website for sale again already.

Rainworth Skoda: Franchised Skoda Dealer in Mansfield - Used Cars

Would be interested to hear if anyone on here buys it. I didnt expect it to be sold by the dealer because I thought it was a little too old and up on the mileage for a main dealer to put on their forcourt. Great car though and I miss it already, but I'm loving my Octy vRS

.....and how much have they put on top of the ammount you traded it in for?

Quite a bit!

But I cant really complain, I think I got a reasonable price for it, and probably about what I could have got if I tried to sell it privatly, but by trading it it, it takes away the hassel and uncertaintly of not knowing how long it will take to sell. The disadvantage though is if I didnt have the part Ex then I may have been able to get a better deal on the now car.

If anyone is interested in the car thouh PM me, and I'll let you know its history.

Maybe a sign of the times but I always thought that dealers tended to swop cars so that they would lose their identity so to speak - just a thing that they needed to do with some cars, so it was easier to do it to all their trade-ins unless someone had made a specific request for something model wise, that was just about to be handed in.

not sure if that makes that one expensive or mine cheap but my 04 plate purchased in november had half the miles and was only £500 more!

I think that the word "market" and the term "down the pan" has changed things a bit. I reckon that if anyone could just sell their car on privately - obviously to friends or family, then a good deal could be had - as long as you could then find the car of your dreams!

£1000 off a new car but maybe then £1200 off your trade-in is just not going to win any customers. Vauxhall see to have some "great" dealers on some of their new Corsas which include "scrappage" or something - nothing doing with the new saloon though - they must be confidant !

Yeah, Bought mine in July for £5800 on 50k. Maybe the used vRS market isn't plummeting as much as I thought... YAY! :D

.

I just paid £4650 for a 53 Plate just over a month ago!

I paid over 6k for a mint 18,000 mile one on an 04 less than a week ago.

and yes you did read that right. I have a full dealer service history showing an annual mileage of 4.5k!!!!!!!

I paid that for mine last april with about the same milliage, 04 plate as well, and was also registerd in June. Looks like I got a good deal for the Time :)

05 with 21k, bought for £6100 the other week.
